Stécia 2003 (Appelation Coteaux du Languedoc), a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan Appelation Coteaux du Languedoc Red wine 2003 vintage Limestone and clay pebbly terraces From individual parcels Syrah 18 and 8 year old vines producing 42 hl/ha 62% Grenache 39 year old vines producing 40 hl/ha 23% Carignan 46 year old vines producing 34 hl/ha 15% Partly traditional maceration and partly cold pre-fermentation for 18 and 21 days with daily delestage (rack and return) or pumping over. Partly whole-grape carbonic maceration for 12 and 20 days. 13% vol. 12 months in vats and bottle-age for 12 months A brilliant colour. Explosive and unusual notes of bay leaf, thyme and gunflint on the nose. This freshness is also present on the palate, reinforced by fresh elegant tannins.
